by Barbara Webb ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 8, 1935
Romantic historical fiction with the setting old Bermuda, at the time of the American Revolution. The characters, a girl whose father has died in prison for his sympathies with the rebels, a youth who is in Bermuda to secure aid for the colonies, the nephew of the loyalist governor. The story is not particularly original, but it is good reading, and the setting is unusual. People who know the St. George's end of Bermuda will particularly enjoy it. Good rental library bet.
