GILLESPIE AND THE GUARDS

After The Loudest Noise in the World, Gillespie is beginning to grow on us. He is not at fault this time, and, put out with the haughtiness of the king's three guards, whose excellent eyesight has not only won them fame but caused the king to offer a reward for anyone who can get away with something, Gillespie decides to play his hand. He does it in an unexpected way which, with the accompaniment of James Daugherty's robust pictures, is sure to make you laugh. Firmly glued spine.
