The Fentons again (see above report) with a fair weather book- although for our tastes not quite so clearly presented as Ivan Ray Tannehill's All About Weather (Random House- 1953). The description of a typical day sets the stage for introducing air, heat, water and earth as ""weather makers"". Discussions then of the seasons, earth's movements, and atmosphere, build up to the function of the sun and the atomic activity that causes heat, convection currents, clouds, rain, storms and all the other manifestations of weather. Thorough coverage but a certain piling of fact on fact, in the beginning particularly, may take unscrambling.
