THE CHILDREN GREW

When her husband's death left her with two sons to raise and a job to find in wartime Washington- Mrs. Darnton's is a record of a challenge met and conquered. The years' changing patterns- as growth brought it problems of emotion, of pets and school, and sickness, and vocations for the boys- work themselves out until John and Bob take over dependably. Intelligent and pleasant.
