PEPPERS' PARADISE

The five little Peppers here are just about grown: Kitty, next to youngest, is almost seventeen and she's got stars (movie) in her eyes since her family owns the four motion picture theatres in town and she dreams of managing one of them. This then takes place back in 1927 and one wonders how many of today's readers will be in Seventh Heaven . . . or will all these mementoes (Cupid's bow mouths and rumble seats and permanent waves) be impedimenta? Particularly since there's not very much of a story--just a Photoplayback of this earlier heyday just before the talkies, and even though the Paradise is not yet wired for sound, Kitty surely is. In her friendly fashion.
