EXCUSE ME, MRS. MEIGS

Our favorite hardy perennial, Mrs. Meigs, now 82, decides to marry her faithful, ohlvalrous friend, Horace Cunningham, and finds herself missing her identity as Mrs. Meige, and resenting the loss of her independence. Many things happen in this ""first year"". Her favorite granddaughter has a son; Mrs. Meige breaks her leg and is moved in on by her most officious daughter and two nurses; Mrs. Meige, indefatigable matchmaker, plots matrimony for one nurse and gets rid of the other; and at the close, she accepts the mantle of her new estate more gracefully. Homestyle happenings, of sure popularity with her conservative, mature following.
