A NICE LONG EVENING

THE YOUNG MRS. MEIGS won all ages to her standard, and everyone will welcome this continuation of her adventures, and her domination of her family. At eighty, even faced with approaching blindness, she is undaunted, and persists in engineering the lives of all about her, of providing amusement for her friends and neighbors, of leading her own life in her own way, which does not include lace caps and a wheel chair. Not as sparkingly original as its predecessor, but an entertaining story, which should have a good sale on the strength of the other, without disappointing readers. Some of the episodes appeared originally as short stories in The Century Magazine.
