PANCHO

I can't feel much excitement in another book about the exploits of a little Mexican boy, but if there is room for another, this is a good one. The Haders are at their best in costume and character illustrations, and these are swell. The villagers, particularly the colorful cowboys who are going after the wild bull with the crooked tail, the village background and the plains where the wild bull escapes all comers, all effectively done in full color. Beautiful drawings and fine reproductions and a text with much more story than the average regional book.
