APE IN A CAPE

Slanted differently- to say the least- from the recently reported For the Ark by Roger Duvoisin, this big-little-alphabet book has a certain heavy humor all its own. With a page for each animal and a big picture by the author for each page, there's no reason but rhyme for the parade of concepts: Carp with a harp- Goat in a boat- Pig in a wig- and a studious looking bird all dressed up in bow tie and vest for- Culture with culture; Laughable but more for slow chuckles than hearty guffaws.
