NORTH STAR SHINING

As for NORTH STAR SHINING by Hildegarde Swift, this volume can scarcely be classed at all as serious poetry. Some very fine colored illustrations by Lynd Ward of various famous Negroes and outstanding moments in Negro history are accompanied by rhythmic textual explanations by Miss Swift. The feeling for the Negro is sincere. Not poets but persons interested in this burning racial issue of our day will provide the market for this book.
