RACERS TO THE SUN

A fast lap with the crash helmet and coverall set- this concentrates on Speedy Harold Hill, just 18, working by day in a used motor parts shop, and racing his motorcycle Sundays. There's his special kinship with and tenderness for Anne, his younger sister; his attraction to Gunner, whose feeling for Harold is one of power inseparable from the lure of speed; and finally his maturing love for Sass and the possibility of a future together assured only after Harold's crackup.... A fairly sketchy story is streaked with wind and dust and smoke, a sense of danger- and urgency, and the special language of this special world of youngsters in a hurry. This too keeps it exclusive.
