Good adventure story with an historical background. An English lad, heir to his father's title and estate, is supposedly done away with through the machinations of a jealous uncle. Actually, it is another lad who perishes, and Peter Aubrey ships for the New World with Columbus. The story of the voyage, of the life in Espanola, the return voyage, follow the famous diary. The story ends with Peter's claiming his heritage, and rebuilding with the girl he loves.
