MISTY OF CHINCOTEAGUE

A beautiful book with lovely drawings by Wesley Dennis, and a good horse story, too, with the alluring setting of Chincoteague Island and Assateague, where ""wild things"" lived -- wild ponies, descendants of survivors of a wrecked Spanish galleon. This is the story of two children whose grandfather had brought them over to the island, and who yearned to get for themselves one of the famous wild ponies. Good adventure and a story surely popular.
