Hold your whisht! This is a ruddy, bluddy melodrama which takes place in Ireland in 1939. I.R.A.gularities have flared up again and so does the fever in the blood of one Dominic Eyre, a writer, for Harriet Leeson, an attractive, sexually aggressive and devious young woman. She's married, and his affair with her ends in murder not easily absolved or resolved. The local landscape and the wild uncertainties of the Irish contribute handsomely.
