A fable about imagination and dreams with a Street outline. Dulcy ""found it hard to be satisfied with Things as They Are"". So when she lost a pretty doll with yellow hair it occurred to her that she must have lost a doll with eyes that opened and closed and patent leather shoes with heels, which of course was not really true. Each time during the winter when Dulcie told others about the loss of the doll, the doll became more and more wonderful until she was the most wonderful doll in the world. But Dulcie did find the real doll and in her disappointment, learns something about being mixed up about what are dream things and what are real. An admirable treatment of what some parents are apt to call ""lying"".
