NOVA

Mr. Delany has an extensive imagination, an exhausting imagination, an undisciplined imagination. In this case, a nova becomes a light almost lost in the shadow of philosophy, psychology, economics, gypsy boys, albino Negroes, drugs, empire-destroying family feuds, sensory apparatuses, cyborgs, even Tarot cards. Captain Lorg Von Ray plans to fly through the center of an exploding sun and bring out a priceless substance that will upset a galaxy's economic balance. But by the time he gets there, the reader may be too tired to care.
