WIDOW'S PIQUE

Pete Baylis is in the California blue chip set when he finds his pick-up, a girl in a Jaguar, is the threatened wife of old powerhouse Wells. His job to protect her totters over the death of a band leader, and his wife-sitting develops jitters when a friend of her crippled sister is killed. With the death of Wells, Baylis is in for more trouble until he can tie in the wills (and wonts) to police satisfaction. So-so.
