THE HIGHLY TRAINED DOGS OF PROFESSOR PETIT

Humdrum nineteenth century life in the town of Puddling Center changes for the better in a humorous story of people and animals. Eleven year old Willie has been brought by his Uncle Scrivens from a neighboring town to make up for Puddling Center's deplorable lack of errand boys. He meets a small canine road show, and their activities- extremely funny- some of them- eliminate the fraudulent competition of Hoskin's Circus and its stuffed tiger. And when Puddling Center has been aroused from its lethargy, Willie's future with the professor is well assured.
