WHO'S UPSIDE DOWN?

A nice concept builder for those first wonderings. A kangaroo and her young 'un, hopping around down in Australia, think everything's all right with the world. Of a sudden mama kangaroo finds a book of maps with a picture showing two children on a northern continent standing rightside up, and herself upside down. She is worried for a few flip-flops of upside down pictures in the book, then picks up the map again the wrong way, and finds herself right side up. Happily she hops off with her baby, only a little sad at the thought that the two children are now upside down. The pull of gravity is explained in a big, middle-of-the-book diagram.
