A Scotsman averts his eyes at a Caribbean nudist enclave.

His friends the Winslows (Christmas is Murder, 2008) spare no expense in flying Rex Graves, QC, to La Plage d’Azur, a posh resort in St. Martin, in hopes that he can solve the disappearance of alluring Sabine Durand, who’s been missing for a week. The only clues she’s left behind are her ankle bracelet, a bloodied sarong and her husband’s cell phone, abandoned near some jagged rocks. The gendarmes suspect foul play by sharks, but Graves concentrates instead on a Texas cattle-and-oil man, a wealthy playboy, a reconstructive surgeon, a banker, an Irish lush and a nudist resort developer. He also suspects Vernon, the husband Sabine reportedly cuckolded, until he turns up dead. Applying sun lotion to parts best left unmentioned, Graves gets down to the bare facts of the case, which include facts the Winslows did not confide in him, and dispatches from Interpol associates who alert him to two other crimes on the island involving beauties like Sabine.

The most untitillating nudist company imaginable. Put your clothes on and run to the bookstore for something else.
