LORD HORNBLOWER

For the Hornblower fans- and they are teen agers and up- this will be surely popular, even though it is by no means top in the series. This may be the last- it ends with Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, and the stay of execution which threatens the redoubtable hero of our tale. A lusty tale of perilous adventure as he goes forth at call of duty to deal with mutiny, takes two naval prizes out of the teeth of a Channel port, spearheads revolution. Then comes reunion with the lovely Marie, while Lady Barbara functions as her brother's hostess in Vienna -- and during the 100 days, Hornblower, with Marie and her father, lead a small band of guerilla fighters to doom.
