FOOTSTEPS IN THE NIGHT

A new housing development (California) except for one family- a father and his crippled son- opens its doors to several families- and murder- as teen-aged Pamela, a pretty, friendly girl, is strangled. While clubfooted Kim Dronk, to whom she'd been neighborly, is the most obvious suspect- there are other possibilities: a senile grandfather, a husband with one nymphet episode in the past, a spinster's too much younger lover, etc., and the youngsters involved again ensure full adult participation. Tense.
