The soprano (photogenic is an unlikely wish fulfillment) is diva Toni Rossi, who with her various perfumes (Hermes, Patou, Ma Griffe, Sortilege) and jewels (rubies, emeralds and cinnamon diamonds) flounders through the Hebrides, searching for a lover—an explosives engineer—and escaping attempts against her life and others. . . . The story, a second-rate British import, wanders all over the place and so might your interest.
