THE BLACK DOG MYSTERY

Good idea, this, for the famous team collaborate under the ""Junior"" to launch a series of mysteries for youngsters. Djuna is a familiar character to all Ellery Queen fans, and Djuna comes into his own in this tale. He is living in the country with Miss Annie Ellery and with his friend Tommy witnesses a bank robbery, and precipitates himself into the situation, determined to roundup the gang and to find, if possible, his dog Champ, who has disappeared at the same time. Good keying of clues, and fair to reader. Upper level mystery, as compared with usual youthful fare.
