MY DOG IS LOST!

A big city can be desolation for a small foreigner. But it can also be a friendly place, as Juanito discovered when his dog was lost shortly after they came from Puerto Rico. How to go about finding him, when Juanito knew only Spanish was a problem. But the children he encountered found ways of learning what was the trouble- what this dog was like- and how to get everyone to help find Pepito. In words in two languages — two phrases and seven new-found words- the children succeeded, and even the policeman played his role. Juanito and Pepito decided that New York was a friendly city. With text and pictures- 44 in two colors and some in soft blacks against a red or a white ground — the story is told.
