by Frances & Richard Lockridge ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 8, 1954
The latest Lockridge cat book- see also The Proud Cat and The Lucky Cat- is about a big black nameless city tom who gets chased by the A.S.P.C.A. Fortunately for him, on the very night it happens he's fed by a friendly boy who takes him in again in the nick of time in the heat of the hunt. Most of it is back yard geography (with a little Egyptian history) rather dryly spun, but with Lockridge appeal.
