Emotions run high as private detective Savannah Reid (Every Body on Deck, 2017, etc.) rushes to find the missing wife and child of a distraught movie star.

To millions of adoring fans, Hollywood heartthrob Ethan Malloy is the dreamiest, sexiest, most desirable man alive. But to Savannah, he’s just a loyal husband and loving dad whose world hasn’t been the same since his wife and baby son, Freddy, disappeared without a trace. Savannah’s developed a soft spot for kiddies ever since her brother, Waycross, teamed up with her assistant, Tammy Reid (nee Hart), to produce Vanna Rose Reid, a red-haired bundle of joy. She desperately wants to find Ethan’s missing family despite a shortage of clues or suspects. She does know that someone sent the actor a photo of his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Sarsone, canoodling with Neil Irwin, her shady ex. And Savannah suspects that Elizabeth may have received a similar shot, since, before running off, she accused Ethan of getting back with former fiancee Candace York. But who sent the photos and why remain mysteries. The stakes go up sharply, however, when Freddy’s nanny, Pilar Padilla, is found dead in a nearby canyon. Now Savannah knows she’s stalking someone who won’t hesitate to use lethal force, someone who must be stopped before killing again.

McKevett adds a shot of urgency to her mild, affable series. But the dark side of this case doesn’t eclipse her heroine’s sunny generosity and shrewd common sense.
