Further fatal experimentation with some unnatural, supernatural events by Basil Willing as the double presence of Faustina Crayle first loses her her position teaching in a girls' school, then precipitates the death of another teacher. In the parallel to an 15th century case of a phantom presence, the more immediate inheritance involved, Willing plays off the tangibles against the intangibles and closes the case. The excellence as before, to which these elements of the strange and disembodied lend a special fascination.
