Everyone's favorite diverse group of submissives is back in this fun romp through the woods.
There's a sexy hide-and-seek game with paintballs, a whipping post, and all sorts of other weirdly woodsy fun planned. Unfortunately, Mercury must be in retrograde or something because everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Sweet, simple Kamen commits to two different alliances. Dave is tired of being patronized by D, who assumes that he will be easy prey. Drix and Miles are still navigating their way into or around cohabitation, and Gould's directives from his Mistress are at odds with his personal goals and fantasies. This dubiously titled book is the fifth in The Subs Club series, and it unites the characters Rock introduced in earlier installments. In a new twist, the book's perspective shifts among 10 different characters. Things might have gotten a bit confusing but Rock has managed to make each voice distinct. As always, the writing is compelling and the plot is quickly paced. The book does a great job of integrating things like consent and safety within the BDSM community. The sex is very sexy, and, while the characters are serious about their kinks, they're all imbued with a humor and humility that is sweet and compelling.
As a stand-alone novel, it's a good read. As part of this series, it's the stuff of legends. Sexy, sexy, legends.
