SAILING, SAILING SWIFTLY

The brother of William Butler Yeats has something of the poet in his nature if this exquisite, rather fragmentary Irish tale is a sample. A kaleidescopic picture ranging from 1860 to the present, beginning with two jolly good fellows, Thady and Jasper, in the coaching business, who find life a royal road to romance. There is little of plot -- simply a gay stopping down through the lives of successive generations -- sparkling, refreshingly different, charming -- but limited in appeal.
