MISS PICKERELL GOES TO MARS

As a cheerful bridge from television's bloodcurdling inter-planetary wars to a sounder scientific base which marks good science fiction, this story of a bright-eyed little lady and an unexpected trip to Mars, in that happy mixture of fantastic adventure and popping nonsense children will enjoy to the hilt. Miss Pickerell, heartily relieved to be going home from a vacation to her peaceful cottage and more peaceful pasture; was outraged to encounter an outgoing space ship nestled in the pasture. How Miss Pickerell finds herself an unwilling passenger and is catapulted to Mars, and how the wiry little woman becomes a popular member of the crew as she bustles around to set a floating table within the space ship, suggests methods for landing, and saves a life, makes a lively novelty. Fact and fancy in a new venture for this age group.
