THE LISTENING WALLS

Amy Kellogg, companioning her highstrung and disagreeable best friend- Wilma- to Mexico, does not remember (or does she?) the events of the evening which end with Wilma's suicide. Amy disappears, and her brother Gill is sure that her husband Rupert (both beneficiaries in her death) has killed her. Strange associates- Rupert's- involve and implicate him further, but when he returns- with Amy- his innocence, and hers, is assured-- except.... As before, aberrant characters and suggestive situations provide an expertly tricky combination.
