THE SECRET COWBOY

The aftermath of young Cliff Adams' bout with rheumatic fever is successfully conquered in the Arizona desert- and with adventure. When Cliff and his mother arrive at a vacation ranch, Mrs. Adams is convinced that her boy should do nothing strenuous and this check on his activities presents some serious problems. When Cliff sees the horses he yearns to ride them, and meeting Andy, the stable manager, only makes things worse. But Andy, who understands humans too, lets Cliff help him at the stable and finally prevails upon Mrs. Adams to give him permission to ride. The results are wonderful and their recounting makes he-man reading rewarding.
