MY FROGGY VALENTINE

Peering in from the edges of a large die-cut hole that occupies the center of this clever twist on an old tale, four eager frogs line up to get a kiss from lonely Princess Polly. “Will I ever meet the perfect prince?” she sighs. Not right away, because the first three spotted, bulbous amphibians, when smooched, turn into spotted, bulbous monster princes. As a silent chorus of pop-eyed forest creatures looks on in the cartoon illustrations set on stiff card stock, the fourth kiss also brings on a transformation—not in the frog, but in the princess. The two hop blissfully away at last to live happily ever after. Sure to engender moments of amusement in readers and listeners. (Novelty. 6-8)
