Another of Tafuri's graphically and conceptually outstanding exercises in simplicity. When the large ball of brilliant red, white, and blue bounces after the toddler tosses it from his perch in a laundry basket, it startles the cat, almost upsets the goldfish, rolls out the screen door with the dog, bounces down the steps, and finally bumps into the laundry basket—now outdoors—"And the baby laughed." Lap-sitters and toddler groups will join in his delight at the series of effects produced by the bouncing of this truly splendid ball.
