This anthology, collected by a practitioner in the field of science-fiction, is marked by less hackneyed inclusions than some of the previous. There are stories of rainmakers, of child geniuses, of ghostly tourists who sightsee in a normal home, of a personal power being used to destroy world armament, of the many warnings of Martian invasion which are not heeded, of mass thinking disturbing time sequences. And there are stories of robots, astro-navigation, alien intelligences, matriarchy, BEMs, research, of think-machines and master-minding, and of some mystery angles, not to mention humor. With a minimum of the mumbo-jumbo which can be annoying — this supplies a brighter approach than heretofor.
