FIRST PRAYERS

A charming small book, one to give to a child to read now and perhaps to keep and look at for many years, even when old and grey. Illustrated in tiny relief and soft pastels are familiar prayers, evening solicitations and morning thanks, the Lord's Prayer, a verse from a New England sampler, old English and German praises, hymns- "Now the Day is Over", pealms- the twenty-third, and graces to say at meal times. Thoroughly pleasing. We hate even to be commercial about it, but watch it for gifts.
