Julia Roberts will lend her voice to the late Lisa Marie Presley’s upcoming memoir, People magazine reports.
The Oscar-winning actor, who most recently starred in a film adaptation of Rumaan Alam’s Leave the World Behind, will narrate the audiobook edition of Presley’s From Here to the Great Unknown, which is slated for publication by Random House on Oct. 8. The memoir, which Presley was working on before her death in 2023, was finished by her daughter Riley Keough, the Daisy Jones & the Six actor. Keough will also contribute to the audiobook.
In the memoir, publisher Random House says, Presley writes about her experiences with her father, Elvis Presley, and her marriages to musicians Danny Keough and Michael Jackson, as well as “about motherhood. About deep addiction. About ever-present grief.”
Roberts told the magazine, “I was so moved by Lisa Marie’s incredible memoir. It was a real privilege to give voice to her wild and beautiful life and I deeply appreciate Riley entrusting me with her mother’s story.”
And Keough said, “I’m so thrilled to have Julia be a part of this and read the voice of my mother. I couldn’t think of anyone more perfect to help share her story with the world.”
