Kari Lake, the former television news anchor who lost her 2022 bid for Arizona governor, will publish her first book later this year.
The Republican politician’s Unafraid: Just Getting Started will be released this summer by Winning Team Publishing, which describes the book as “a story of a woman who takes a sledgehammer to every obstacle she faces.” Lake announced the book on Twitter, writing, “I am so excited for you to read my first book, Unafraid, detailing my journey & vision for the future of our movement.”

Lake worked for KSAZ-TV in Phoenix from 1999 to 2021. After leaving the station, she announced that she would run for governor of Arizona. During the campaign, she repeatedly and falsely claimed that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump, and she appeared at rallies opposing the use of masks to protect against the virus that causes Covid-19.
Lake lost the election, garnering 49.7% of the vote. She refused to concede and has sued to have it overturned.
Winning Team, the press that was founded in 2021 by Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign aide Sergio Gor, is the publisher of Letters to Trump, a collection of correspondence sent to former President Donald Trump by celebrities including Princess Diana and Richard Nixon.
Lake’s book, the press says, “outlines her journey from being the most beloved newscaster and broadcast journalist in Arizona to the leader of the largest grassroots movement in the state’s history.” It is scheduled for publication on June 27.
