Allison Holker will tell the story of her life, and her relationship with fellow dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss, in a new memoir, People magazine reports.
Harper Select will publish Holker’s This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light next year. The press describes the book as a “candid and emotional memoir.”
Holker began dancing as a child in Utah and performed in the films High School Musical and High School Musical 2. In 2014, she joined the competition series Dancing With the Stars as one of its professional dancers; she stayed with the show for four seasons.
She married Boss in 2014; the couple had two children, and Boss adopted Holker’s child from a previous relationship. In 2022, Boss died by suicide.
In her book, Harper Select says, Holker “reveals how she has navigated the emotional and financial aftermath of Stephen’s choice, guided their three children in their grief while managing the outpouring from a well-meaning public, and reopened herself to the next chapter in her professional and personal life.”
Holker shared news of the memoir on Instagram, writing, “It’s a chronicle of resilience, embracing change, and finding light even in the darkest corners of our lives. It’s about my dance journey, my love story with Stephen, and the unforeseen grief that followed. I hope by sharing my story, I can bring some comfort to those who have also felt loss and are trying to navigate through it.
This Far is scheduled for publication on Feb. 4, 2025.
