The Cat Kid Comic Club will be back in session soon.

Cat Kid Comic Club: Collaborations, the fourth graphic novel in Dav Pilkey’s popular series, will be published by Scholastic this fall, the press announced in a news release.

The series from Pilkey, best known for his Captain Underpants and Dog Man children’s books, follows the characters Li’l Petey, Flippy, and Molly, as they teach 21 baby frogs how to make comics. The series launched in 2020 with Cat Kid Comic Club, which a critic for Kirkus called “supa fun.”

The books incorporate a variety of art techniques, including paints, pencils, photographs, collage, origami, and pipe cleaners.

On Scholastic’s website, Pilkey says of the series, “My hope is that readers are inspired to dream up their own stories and try something new. And, most importantly, to have fun with books!”

In the new book, Scholastic says, frogs “Naomi, Melvin, Poppy, Gilbert, Curly, and their siblings get back to making comics with originality and laughter. But wait—have they cleaned their rooms yet?! After their chores, the rambunctious group presents even more amazing mini-comics.…By working together, the baby frogs discover that small things can have a huge impact.”

Cat Kid Comic Club: Collaborations is scheduled for publication on Nov. 29.
