New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman is writing a book about President Donald Trump, publisher Penguin Press announced in a news release.

Haberman’s book, as yet untitled, will be a “definitive chronicle of Donald Trump’s rise, fall, and continual reinvention, a master narrative based on many years of covering Trump in New York City and throughout his two campaigns and his presidential administration,” according to the publisher.

“Haberman, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who has broken numerous stories on the Trump administration, will draw on a unique and extensive network of sources to provide a fresh and informative take on the Manhattan real-estate developer-turned-reality television star, and the current political era that he sought to remake in his image,” Penguin Press said.

Haberman is one of the Times’ best-known political reporters. She joined the newspaper in 2015 and was part of the team that won the Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for its coverage of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

This isn’t the first time Haberman has signed a deal for a book about Trump. She and her Times colleague Glenn Thrush planned to write a book about the president for Random House, the Associated Press notes, but the deal was canceled after Thrush was suspended by the newspaper following multiple accusations of sexual misconduct.

Haberman’s book is slated for publication in early 2022.
