Paramount+ released a trailer for Apartment 7A, its upcoming film prequel to the iconic movie Rosemary’s Baby.

Rosemary’s Baby, the 1968 film based on the novel by Ira Levin, tells the story of a New York woman who starts to believe that her neighbors are Satanists with nefarious plans for the baby she is due to deliver. Written and directed by Roman Polanski, the film is now considered a classic.

Apartment 7A follows a dancer named Terry, played by Ozark star Julia Garner, who rents an apartment—the same one in which Rosemary’s Baby took place—from an older couple (Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally) and soon discovers that something evil is haunting the building. The film is directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic) and also stars Jim Sturgess, Marli Siu, and Rosy McEwen.

The trailer opens with Garner saying, “I came here for one reason: to make something of myself, to be on stage, to see my name in big lights. But dreams don’t always come true.” She is shown injuring her ankle during a dance routine and then stumbling into McNally on the street.

Later, Garner finds a shoe in a dresser in her bedroom, and brings it to Wiest, saying, “I think this belonged to your old tenant.” Wiest tosses the shoe in a trash can and says, “She skipped out of here like Cinderella at midnight.”

In a voiceover, Garner says, “There’s something wrong with these people. I think something happened to the girl who lived here before me.” The trailer cuts to an elderly nun, who tells Garner, “They did ungodly things to her. And now they’ve chosen you.”

Apartment 7A is set to premiere on Paramount+ on Sept. 27.
