Tamron Hall is making her kid lit debut with a book inspired by her son, People magazine reports.

HarperCollins will publish the journalist and talk show host’s Harlem Honey, illustrated by Ebony Glenn, next year. The press describes the book as “an endearing story about young Moses, inspired by her real-life son and his adventure visiting Harlem, [one of] New York’s most iconic spots, learning a valuable lesson about the meaning of home.”

Hall worked as a journalist for NBC and MSNBC before premiering her talk show, Tamron Hall, in 2019. She is the author of a cookbook, A Confident Cook, and two thrillers, As the Wicked Watch and Watch Where They Hide.

Harlem Honey follows Moses, a young boy from Texas who moves with his family to Harlem and explores his new neighborhood. The book, HarperCollins says, is “a lively and heartening tale inspired by her son about one of the nation’s most celebrated neighborhoods and the places and people that make Harlem home.”

Hall announced her new book on Instagram, writing, “Mama and Moses bringing ‘Harlem Honey’ is a dream come true. New people and places can be scary when you’re little. ‘Harlem Honey’ inspires kids to use curiosity and travel to face fears.”

Harlem Honey is slated for publication on March 25, 2025.
