Lisa Jewell, Rebecca Yarros, and Talia Hibbert are among the winners of this year’s TikTok Book Awards U.K. and Ireland, given by the video hosting service to authors and creators who have made waves in the popular BookTok community.

Jewell took home the Book of the Year (U.K. and Ireland) prize for None of This Is True, a true crime–themed thriller that is in the works as a Netflix movie. Jewell reacted to her win on Instagram, writing, “Last night I went out and singlehandedly raised the average age at the Tiktok Book of the Year Awards…by about four years. But I also only went and won!!…Thank you so much to all my lovely Booktok readers on here who voted for me!!!”

Yarros won the Book of the Year (International) award for Fourth Wing, the first volume of her Empyrean series of romantasy novels that has dominated the BookTok community for more than a year. "I'm so grateful that Fourth Wing has been chosen as Book of the Year (International). It has been a wild ride, and none of it would have happened without TikTok,” Yarros said.

Romance novelist Hibbert (Get a Life, Chloe Brown; Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute) won the BookTok Breakthrough Author prize, while Maisie Matilda was named BookTok Creator of the Year and John-Paul the BookTok Rising Star Creator.

The Bookshop by the Sea in Aberystwyth, Wales, won the Indie Bookshop of the Year, and The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore took home the TikTok Shop Book of the Year prize.

The TikTok Book Awards U.K. and Ireland were established last year. The prizes’ inaugural winners included Bolu Babalola for Honey & Spice and Alice Oseman for Heartstopper: Volume One.
